Although she fears her own dark gifts, Sarah is bound by an old promise to her mother and must resurrect her foolish dandy of a brother, Barty, every time he dies. When Barty begins to look and smell like a walking corpse, Sarah is forced to find a cure for his condition. Her quest leads her on to the path of the charismatic Elijah Swift, makes her question her magical abilities, challenges her sense of duty, and draws her towards the mysterious Amulet of Hecate.

Captive Moon is the first novella in the Amulet of Hecate series written by Edinburgh based writer Jane Charlotte, who lives in a murky world of zombies, werewolves, vampires and witches.

If you enjoy the book we would love it if you could leave a review on Amazon and share it with your friends.

Captive moon by Jane CharlotteSet in 1891 Edinburgh, Captive Moon is a story of duty, love and betrayal, with a magical twist. Sarah Snow seems just like every other demure young Victorian woman, but she hides a terrible secret. She has the power to resurrect her foolish brother Barty every time he dies. Sarah has given up hope of love and freedom, and her future looks like it holds nothing more than a cycle of restoring Barty to life.

When Barty wakes and finds himself with rotting flesh which Sarah’s magic cannot fix, she resolves to find a cure. Her quest leads her on to the path of the charismatic Elijah Swift, makes her question her dedication to family, and draws her towards the mysterious Amulet of Hecate.
